Home Wine Making Recipes – The basic steps to make your first batch
Of course, getting fruit to ferment and make a kind Alcohol is not difficult. It is a natural process that can occur with or without our help. There are recipes for homemade wine that promise results Quick. What they do not mention is that it can be fairly undrinkable. However, with not much effort at all, a really delicious wine can be done at home. Here are the basic tools for a very simple recipe homemade wine from grapes:
- 2 very clean 5 gallon buckets, plastic
- Grapes enough to give you 32 oz of juice pressed
- Large piece of gauze
- Potato masher
- Sas cap. (There is a ceiling that allows carbon dioxide to escape during fermentation bubbling, but it does not let air in your wine as it ferments)
- Wine bottles and corks

- Boil about half a liter of filtered water
- Turn off heat and add the grapes enough so that the water level is just above the grapes
- Let grapes sit until the skins of the grapes begin to divide
- With a masher potato, press the grapes while they are still in the water
- Pour the grape pulp and water in the first the cleanliness of your 5-gallon pails
- Even if you boil the mixture cool seven and a half cups of sugar in water
- Add the sugar and water to the mixture of grape pulp
- Add one package of yeast. Yeast (You may be using Baker with regular house wine making recipes, but I recommend using the wine yeast)
- Close the bucket and attach airlock stopper. This first fermentation begins.
- Each day, stir the mixture gently but thoroughly
- When fermentation is complete (bubbling stops) Pour the mixture through a Filter cheesecloth in your second bucket 5 gallons. Place dough in the filter cloth
- Close the container with lid and airlock
- Every couple of weeks, transfer and filter the wine through a coffee filter in your other clean container
- After the 5th week, you May bottle and cork your wine
