I have cleaned all my equipment and before I start I am going to sanitize. Also I have a secondary carboy is it really beneficial to transfer to a secondary after 4-5 days?
I am fermenting in a 5gallon glass carboy and was going to transfer to a 6.5 gallon carboy

It is beneficial to transfer to a secondary but I wait 2 weeks. Transferring keeps the wort from picking up unwanted flavors from the plastic primary and from the trub. Naturally, you want to transfer to a glass or stainless vessel.
